Spiritual Growth

Spiritual growth is the main thing that church is all about. In the physical world all living things grow and mature. If an organism is not growing or is declining, it is an unhealthy sign. The same is true in the spiritual realm.

 

So how does spiritual growth occur? Growth is fostered in the right environment, such as in small groups where one can explore with others how the truths in the Bible can be applied to everyday life. It is fostered in one-on-one discipleship or mentoring, and in close friendships. It is also fostered in worship services with times of corporate praise and prayer. This year we will be exploring in detail the spiritual journey towards maturity, and we invite you to join in.

Small Groups & Bible Studies 

It is in small groups that one is best able to build deep relationships and grow spiritually, as well as in other dimensions. Small groups are an essential part of church life and participation is encouraged at Community Covenant.

 

The current opportunities are as follows.

 

Adult Sunday School, 9:15 AM

The adult Sunday School class during our Sunday School hour is currently following the sermon series.  All are welcome, even if you can't attend every week.

 

Women's Bible Study, every Monday at 9:15 AM and every other Thursday at 7:30 PM

The Women's Bible Study meets weekly for a time of fellowship, discussion and prayer.  They are currently studying Second Corinthians.  Contact the church office for more information.

 

Sunday Morning Prayer, 9:30 AM

At 9:30 AM there is a prayer meeting in the Pastor's office.  All are welcome to join to pray for the worship service as well as for other needs.
